About the role...
The People Partner will establish trusted and influential relationships with managers and employees at all levels, providing expert consultation and advice on HR matters. The position will support the Head of HR: Australia in encouraging a culture across the Group and Brands that drives employee engagement and experience. The role is located within our south Melbourne office but will also be required to travel to our Distribution Centre in Truganina as required. Day to day responsibilities;

  • Provide accurate, responsive and quality Employee Relations advice and support to managers ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice
  • Foster a culture of health safety and wellbeing within the business to protect our employees, reduce injury and illness and increase productivity
  • Conduct thorough and accurate investigations of ER issues with high quality, compliant and accurate ER documentation
  • Manage onboarding process, in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, including preparation and administration of new hire documentation, as needed and ensure all relevant departments are notified of new starters in a timely fashion and all tools, etc required for new starter are ready prior to day 1 and manage the offboarding process
  • Support the embedding of talent management, succession planning, capability development and engagement and wellbeing activities
  • Proactively engage with managers to identify high performing and high potential employees to support the succession planning process
  • Support managers with the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) through education and guidance
  • Ensure support on BCorp HR related requirements

About you...
You will have tertiary qualifications within HR with strong experience in ER, managing performance issues end to end. You will ideally have experience in retail (with the Retail Industry Award) or another fast paced environment. You will love partnering with your portfolio, empowering your managers to foster a culture of health safety and wellbeing within the business to protect our employees, reduce injury and illness and increase productivity.
