Currently we are looking for a National Accounts Logistics and Activation Representative in Northern VirginiaThe National Accounts Logistics and Activation Rep, in tandem with the National Accounts Director (NAD) and team, is responsible for tasks related but not limited to REI and MEC sale events support, events and programs. Duties will be focused on but not limited to retail education, in-store training, internal event planning and organization, execution of sales and marketing initiatives. This role requires a passion for collaboration, innovation, strong communication, exceptional execution, relationship building, and event optimization to drive meaningful results with our most impactful accounts.The ideal person will effectively coordinate with the National Accounts Support Lead, National Accounts Team, Marketing, and Internal Sales Operational (ISO) teams to ensure proper sell in, sell through, and overall account care. The ideal candidate must properly project the “voice and story” of Black Diamond across all events and retail activations and trainings. The candidate will have expert knowledge of all mountain activities, internal BD structures and tools, as well as social networking channels. Candidates must exhibit excellent verbal and writing skills, a sharp wit, and a willingness to work during non-standard business hours. The candidate must be willing to travel extensively throughout the year, which will be subjected to the needs of the role. This role will include Internal sales preparation and organization duties. Prior experience in customer service, retail floor, public relations, sales or event marketing is preferred.Education

Required: BA or equivalent training in related fields of sales and/or marketing related to the outdoor industry.Preferred: BA in marketing, business administration, communications, or related degree.Work ExperienceRequired: Two years of experience in marketing, brand activations, event management, specialty outdoor retail, and/or related experience.Preferred: The above two years specifically in the outdoor industry.Skills And General Experience

  • Passionate outdoors person with a proven and exceptional ability in articulating intimate familiarity with all mountain recreation, especially as it relates to Black Diamond products and brand.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proven in a dynamic office environment, and works well under pressure, deadlines, and change.
  • Prioritization skills, organization skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines mandatory.
  • Proven account management, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Adept with using word processing, project management tools, team communication software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Super organized and able to quickly adapt to situations.

Required licenses: Driver’s License and Valid Passport for occasional international travel.Requirements

Responsible and authorized to continuously improve upon and perform the following functions in accordance with Black Diamond’s Quality System, Safety and Employee Policy procedures and policies:

  • Responsible for development and care of our largest retail partners, REI and MEC.
  • In conjunction with NAD, Category Directors (CD), Marketing, and ISO sell in, support sell through initiatives, curation of annual events, internal needs, and retail training plans with seasonal direction strategies.
  • Preparation and clean up internally for customer and retail staff events.
  • Ensure expert quality logistical and planning support for National Account needs.
  • Track, manage, preparation and routing of orders, support inventory, and materials to support National Account needs.
  • Build and maintain the most authentic brand and be the steward of the brand in our industry through on bran experiences, clinics, events and collaboration.
  • In tandem with National Account Team oversee and manage our event equipment (vehicles, trailer, tents, gear, etc.).
  • Ensure brand vision, campaigns, voice and strategy are correctly integrated into all account events programs.
  • Create and drive overall experiential marketing plan; proactively recommending innovations pre/onsite / post events to increase program value to REI, MEC, attendees and Black Diamond.
  • Ability to manage deliverables for partnerships / sponsorships in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate activations into sponsorships and contracts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program efficiency and effectiveness through thoughtful execution. This includes ensuring goals and success metrics are trending according to plan and adjusting the program to address business needs.
  • Timely reporting that showcases progress to goals and overall business impact includes clear goals, targets and KPIs.
  • Oversee management of account-specific budget (seeding, event product, etc.) ; provide accurate forecasts and make sound financial decisions and investments to ensure a profitable sales goal.
  • Create innovative experiences across all account sales and marketing platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts of outside vendors.
  • Ability to initiate and follow through on projects in a timely and responsible manner.
