Primary Purpose Of Position

As a Stance Retail District Manager, you will be an ambassador of Stance through driving a performance based culture within retail, while focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience across your market. You are a partner to cross-functional teams and utilize and lean into these relationships to champion for your Store Teams. You consistently operate with an intent to drive high engagement, inspire innovation, and produce successful sales outcomes through strength and skill in bringing brand culture to physical spaces.You are the owner of your District business. Your ability to manage and lead a team of Store Managers, implement effective strategies, and maintain high standards of operational excellence is crucial for the success of the retail business.Key Relationships

Store Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of each store in your district, including sales, profit, product levels by season and market, and general compliance with company standards and policies. Showcase mastery of Retail Key Performance Indicators, and utilize this skillset to consistently grow and build the businesses within your District.Sales and Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability in each store. This may involve setting sales targets, implementing promotional campaigns, and analyzing data trends to fuel areas of opportunity. Understand that beating former years or hitting Plan is a benchmark, and there is always more room to improve and grow each business. Participate in piloting & exploring new programs, providing Store perspective insights. Lead new store openings within your district in partnership with VP of Retail & cross-functional partners.Budget Management: Manage budgets for each store in your district, controlling expenses, and tracking financial performance. This includes Labor, Supplies, Maintenance & Facilities, Travel, etc. As the primary owner of your District P&L, you are responsible for any misses to the budget and should train Store Managers thoroughly to ensure we are spending only what we need.Customer Service: Uphold and enhance the level of customer service provided in each store through direct feedback and shoulder to shoulder training and support. Be the epitome of a Brand Ambassador for the brand, setting the tone and being an example for your teams and others in the field. Address customer complaints in partnership with Store Leadership and resolve issues as they arise to retain customers and drive customer loyalty.Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor store managers and their teams. Ensure that store staff are well-trained, motivated, and consistently deliver excellent customer service, operate to standard of the broader brand, and comply with expectations and laws for the individual markets. Own the training of new programs & process within your District. Act as support in recruiting for all stores that you oversee, actively engaging with professional networks via forums like LinkedIn. Prioritize building a pipeline for Talent proactively, consistently meeting new people and sourcing strong candidates for future opportunities.People Operations: Provide resources and support for all People Operations in stores. Manage processes to ensure we legally comply with local laws and guidelines. Partner directly with HR on training needs, support for performance discussions, safety discussions, and any further HR circumstance.Operational Efficiency: Oversee store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company guidelines. This includes inventory management, cash handling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Master all processes for stores operationally, and support when needed within the District. Use this knowledge to drive for growth, always aiming to better process and evolve to support the field teams.Visual Merchandising: Ensure that stores within your district are executing Visual Merchandising directives effectively and efficiently. Provide feedback consistently to Store Managers and teams, working main direct partnership with the Retail Visual Merchandiser, with the intent to grow and develop talent. Partner with the Retail Visual Merchandiser to roll out new floor sets and directives. Be an expert in Visual Merch, capable of supporting stores in execution for bigger remerch opportunities and new store openings.Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management on the performance of stores in your district, highlighting areas of success and areas that require improvement. These updates should be rooted in data, as well as be highly analytical - Always driving forward for solutions and growth of the business. Be a partner for your cross-functional partners, but a champion for your teams. Speak up with new ideas and be an advocate for strong, connected culture, where Retail is highly integrated into the broader brand at Stance.Innovation: Drive for continuous improvement through thinking outside the box, rooted in the “Stitched Different” concept and mindset of Entrepreneurship & Ownership. Bring new ideas to the table often and be a practitioner of the test & iterate mentality.Experience Needed

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Utah Market (Salt Lake)
  • 5+ years of Retail people management experience
  • 2+ years of multi-store management experience (8+ stores), Remote management a plus
  • Has managed a minimum of 10M in topline revenue
  • Proven success in generating sales outcomes and entrepreneurial teams through profitable Retail channels
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve and react quickly to address business concerns
  • Strong record of producing talent, developing leaders, and maintaining a strong network within Retail
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices for markets within District
  • Expert skill set in store operational excellence & development, showcasing low shrink, tight inventory and facilities management
  • Strong understanding & experience in Visual Merchandising, product analysis, and allocation
  • Ability to stand, lift (within reason), and support teams in stores on the sales floor and operationally in BOH
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the business
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
