This individual is responsible for driving commercial success for New Balance with assigned to the JD Sports account. They will be responsible for achieving revenue objectives and coordinating cross functional programs for the assigned accounts. The Account Manager will effectively manage all NB business activities with JD Sports, using marketing and product initiatives to effectively position New Balance brand.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Commercial Responsibilities: Work with cross functional teams to develop accurate and realist go-to-market plans, assortments, and forecasts. Conduct business reviews with customers. Meet all reporting and forecasting deadlines in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Account Management: Work with the Director Key Accounts and Commercial Team members to manage assigned accounts. Provide account feedback to Commercial, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product management staff. Leverage market and account knowledge to maximize New Balance product placement and sales.
  • Product: Identify product opportunities and execute product strategies. Stay current on product features and changes. Recommend product to purchase that position inventory appropriately and proactively manage product flow. Balance the merchandising needs of the account with New Balance's product placement objectives.
  • Order Management: Accountable for execution, management, and timely coordination of account orders, including entry, tracking, order confirmation, cancellations, and delivery information. Meet all revenue deadlines in a timely and consistent manner using assigned tools.
  • Brand Presentation: Manage all aspects of New Balance brand presentation with assigned account(s) including advertising, in store and online. Ensure proper ROI in achieved from New Balance's investments in advertising and in store with customer.
  • Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinate meetings between customer contacts and New Balance Merchandising, Marketing, and Planning teams to establish strategies and execution for brand presentations and go-to-market objectives.
  • Financial & Retail Planning: Ensure that inventory levels and aligned to sell through, margin and turn objectives by partnering NB internal planning and account personnel.

REQUIREMENTSFOR SUCCESS:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
  • Self-motivation, determination, and creativity are a must. Individual must be a ‘self-starter.’
  • Highly proficient with Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint applications.
  • 20% Domestic and International travel is required.
  • Active interest in sports and/or lifestyle products and activities is a plus.
  • Ethical practices required. Integrity is a core value of the brand and team.
  • Flexibility is imperative. The job is extremely dynamic and responsibilities will continuously evolve.
  • This position is based in Boston and in the office 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
