Position Summary: 

Fox is looking for a Global Marketing Manager who is driven to play a role in a fast-paced marketing organization, based at Fox Racing HQ in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate has experience developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring adjacent teams. You will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs. In relation to Fox MX, the role will serve as support in executing marketing functions such as content production, sample management, endemic media relations, event support, global content brief management, and digital calendar support. The Global Marketing Manager is a key position in ensuring there is thorough communications and alignments within all regional marketing, sales, and product teams.

Essential Functions of this Role:

  • Responsible for developing and executing annual go-to-market plans for the SHIFT brand in alignment with brand, product, and sales objectives.
  • Develop and maintain SHIFT MX campaign & concept briefs in support of global go-to-market plans
  • Work in alignment with Ecommerce team to establish digital communications calendar for SHIFT brand
  • Own marketing executions across: content strategy & digital calendar planning, photoshoot production, events, endemic media relations, trade marketing support, sample management, social media channel management, “ambassador” management, and consumer insights.
  • Align with Sports Marketing teams on SHIFT athlete integration into multi-channel campaigns and brand initiatives
  • Manage and align all global regions on annual 360 go-to-market strategies for the SHIFT brand
  • Manage SHIFT MX ambassador/influencer network and support Global Sports Marketing team initiatives
  • Collaborate with SHIFT Product team to develop key product story hierarchy for seasonal product marketing initiatives
  • Present ideas and final SHIFT GTM deliverable to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
  • Manage SHIFT MX social media channels(Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc) in alignment to digital communications calendar to drive and execute vision of proprietary and supporting event partnerships
  • Manage endemic Powersports media relations & marketing calendar for SHIFT & Fox MX
  • Aid in concepting and executing photo/video productions across Fox Powersports & SHIFT brand
  • Work with regional events teams in execution of endemic powersports initiatives
  • Manage marketing sample orders & units in-house for use of photoshoots, media seeding, and ambassador seeding
  • Gather consumer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversion, and generate qualified leads for the MX consumer

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High School degree
  • 3-5 years of past experience, knowledge and relationships within the motocross industry and sport. Overall understanding of inner workings of the MX industry.
  • Digital & Direct-to-consumer business & go-to-market experience
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Follow oral and written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
  • Working knowledge of Powerpoint/Keynote programs
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & Word

During the series, Team Moto-X Fox riders wore bright red, yellow and orange race outfits. Handmade by Fox, the clothing became an instant hit with the fans and interested enthusiasts started calling the Fox shop in Campbell inquiring about its availability. Over the course of the next few years Fox was completely reorganized to become a major player in the U.S. motocross apparel industry. In 1980, Fox rider Mark Barnett won the company's first National Championship, and two years later, Brad Lackey won Fox 's (and the United States') first World Motocross Championship. In the ensuing two-plus decades, Fox-sponsored riders have won over 40 National Motocross and Supercross Championships. In 2006 Fox rider Ricky Carmichael won the AMA Supercross Championship, while Lifelong Fox rider James Stewart won the FIM World Supercross Championship.

Today, Fox remains a family owned and operated business, with the second generation working full-time at the company.
