As the Lifestyle Merchandising Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for creating, owning, and championing the Business of Product within your category; including strategic product and business direction accountabilities to meet the needs of the Fox consumer as well as revenue and margin targets. Key responsibilities will be to protect the foundation of our business and to partner with cross functional teams to identify new opportunities to meet and exceed our financial growth targets. This includes identifying market trends and writing briefs with a developed seasonal line plan based on rich consumer research and insights. You will be working directly with the Product Managers to ensure products meet the needs of the consumer/market, directing requirements for meetings/tradeshows and marketing/catalogs, developing and building presentations for all global milestone meetings, driving Go-To-Market strategy, attending and assisting at regional sales meetings/account pre-lines, tracking monthly sell through for the category, building strong business cases in conjunction with the sales, planning, and marketing teams, and conducting a lot of research to drive strategic direction. In addition, you will establish control-related standards and procedures, in short, you will be interacting with global and regional teams daily to ensure Fox is the market leader in our market segments.

Essential Functions of this Role:

  • Run the merchandising functions for the category with a clear business vision, blending Fox Racing’s DNA & regional needs with higher strategic objectives and growth initiatives. 
  • Create a line architecture with a high degree of sensitivity for balancing brand needs with specific regional & distribution needs. 
  • Establish key product initiatives and correlated investment plans to hit seasonal revenue targets, including corresponding category productivity initiatives. Determine target pricing, costs, deliveries, and projections to represent the global line needs.
  • Be firmly connected to the competitive landscape and able to benchmark our perceived value and create our competitive advantage. Actively research and observe the competition on market share, pricing, and demand to keep the brand ahead of its competitors.
  • Actively listen to all members of the cross-functional team to ensure that tasks are well integrated. Interface with Sales, Digital, Marketing, Planning and Finance departments to ensure plans and communication from both sides are represented in the business case. 
  • Assist in creation of 5-yearsoft-goods and accessories roadmap with Product Manager and Development teams.
  • Build style/color buy plan with the planning team to ensure/implement a strategic investment and inventory strategy.
  • Articulate a clear category positioning, product segmentation, and product line objectives to all global and regional teams. 
  • Manage line development, pricing and business planning against the central product calendar. Communicate any changes to the Product Managers, ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Conduct monthly statistical analysis by style and color for each operating region.
  • Build, present and drive global seasonal product briefs.
  • Drive and lead product segmentation with a consumer centric approach.
  • Present to Global and Regional teams during line review and Go-To-Market process’.
  • Work with Director of Merchandising in the development of seasonal/annual OGSTM.
  • Partner with Regional Merchandising teams on global market visits, key account product presentations, relationship building, and trend/market research.

Going up against the might of the Japanese factory teams, Team Moto-X Fox riders became the top non-factory riders in the series, finishing fifth, sixth and seventh in the highly-competitive AMA 125cc National Championship series, thereby achieving Geoff's goal of proving that his handmade parts were the best that money could buy.

During the series, Team Moto-X Fox riders wore bright red, yellow and orange race outfits. Handmade by Fox, the clothing became an instant hit with the fans and interested enthusiasts started calling the Fox shop in Campbell inquiring about its availability. Over the course of the next few years Fox was completely reorganized to become a major player in the U.S. motocross apparel industry. In 1980, Fox rider Mark Barnett won the company's first National Championship, and two years later, Brad Lackey won Fox 's (and the United States') first World Motocross Championship. In the ensuing two-plus decades, Fox-sponsored riders have won over 40 National Motocross and Supercross Championships. In 2006 Fox rider Ricky Carmichael won the AMA Supercross Championship, while Lifelong Fox rider James Stewart won the FIM World Supercross Championship.

Today, Fox remains a family owned and operated business, with the second generation working full-time at the company.
