Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Marketing Manager for our SITKA Gear team in Bozeman, Montana. We use advanced design, technology and fabrics to create gear systems that enhance the experience of the hunter. This role will be key in leading a cross functional team through strategy and execution.  


  • Marketing Strategy & Execution Lead the development and implementation of seasonal marketing plans that support key product launches, drive business growth and establish customer loyalty. 
  • Coordinate a cross-functional consumer experience team to execute data-driven, digitally native, multi-channel message distribution plans aimed at putting the right message in the right place at the right time.
  • Facilitate digital agility through real-time analysis of, and adjustments to, marketplace trends, channel needs and/or inventory position.  
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative insights that steer product and category direction
  • Provide strategic input toward the development of the SITKA editorial calendar
  • Support the marketing budgeting process and provide oversight and management in real-time
  • Manage the OPTIFADE licensing program inclusive of contract negotiations and partner relations.   
  • Data Capture, Analysis & Reporting Complete regular analysis of the Customer Activation Cycle - New and existing buyer behavior, purchase paths, and product performance Ownership of monthly marketing performance meeting –

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • At least 6 years’ experience in marketing
  • At least 2 years of experience leading and coaching individuals and teams
  • At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and implementing seasonal marketing plans and/ or product launches
  • Experience in delivering and measuring KPIs from multi-channel strategies and investments
  • Experience translating high level strategy into actionable tactical plans 
  • Data driven with strong process orientation
  • Proven track record for unlocking highly productive reach both online and offline for premium brands
  • Willingness to travel 30%


The SITKA Gear story started on a September morning several thousand feet up from the tent, soaking wet from sleet and sweat, cold, and completely fed up with gear that was clearly not up to the task. Under the shelter of a gnarled Whitebark Pine on that remote ridge, surrounded by a chorus of bugling bull elk, the question was achingly clear: why was hunting gear so inadequate? We knew it wasn’t because hunters don’t require technical gear. We were living proof, and we knew there were many more like us across all climates and pursuits. From the hottest to the coldest conditions and through constant and extreme changes in activity levels, hunting demands much from our bodies, minds and the gear we take with us into the wild.
