The eCommerce Site Manager is a primary stakeholder in building and maintaining Nixon’s online experiences, focused on a top-tier customer journey leading to greater on-site revenue, conversion and engagement. Primary responsibilities also include overseeing site content, performance and consumer flow and site metrics. This resource will work with the DTC cross-functional team to manage seasonal updates and content refreshes globally with the support of the eCommerce Site Coordinator. As a primary site experience resource, he/she will ensure all business and project goals are identified and met. The position coordinates cross-functional resources, establishes and manages project timelines, milestones and deliverables.

This position is highly cross-functional and requires a special individual capable of planning at a strategic level and, in parallel, dropping to a tactical level day in and day out. The position requires someone who can think out of the box whilst working for an established global brand. The ability to think from both a brand-centric and consumer-centric perspectives is critical to making this individual successful. The eCommerce Site Manager requires an understanding of the flow of digital commerce to work in conjunction with the Operations team, Merchandising team, Creative Studio, Digital Marketing team and more.

Key Responsibilities and Priorities

Site Experience

  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to create brand-appropriate and compelling content that aligns with the Nixon brand.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising and operations team to identify opportunities to improve on-site search, categorization, navigation and cross-selling.
  • Create and leverage dashboards and reporting on-site performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Manage timelines and ensure special projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate with the DTC cross-functional members to enhance the overall customer journey as they interact with the brand in varying channels. This includes promotions, holiday and buyer’s guides, and other areas of the site that affects the end user experience.
  • Manage the workflow of the cross-functional content team to oversee development of product copy, ensure product photos and videos are ready and complete, establish price rules for pricing groups (Influencer groups); promotion codes and discounts; promotion/contest pages, size charts, and related product content.
  • Collaborate with SEO Manager to drive higher organic rankings and best practices surrounding content creation.
  • Coordinate and execute all global content updates on the site working in four (4) regions across six (6) languages and multiple time zones.

Business Planning

  • Assisting with development sprint planning.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Creative, IT, Operations, etc. on planning, timing and execution of season launches.
  • Act as a contributing member to plan on-site content, promotional content and omnichannel cross-over to Retail, Wholesale and other channels.
  • Communicate global content updates, product releases as well as special projects and/or enhancement initiatives.
  • Review and present eCommerce sales and performance reports (e.g. demand vs net, returns and shipping, KPIs, etc) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Thought Leadership, Collaboration and Planning

  • Collaborate and partner with Director, eCommerce on the development of site strategy, new technologies and program management aligning plans to execute.
  • Partner with Global Director, Digital Marketing to collaborate on digital marketing efforts off the site (e.g. SEM, email, display and affiliate programs.
  • Knowledgable of the development of seasonal GTM strategies.

The eCommerce Site Manager is not responsible for areas outside of the core site such as digital marketing or code development, however the position is extremely closely aligned with these cross-functional job functions. Communication, planning and partnerships are critical to the success of this role.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with digital and/or eCommerce with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy for project execution. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize against aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to operate with a customer-focused approach to business practice.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French preferred but not required.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the roles and limits of web technologies.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms for enterprise level websites – Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) is a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics or similar metrics-measurement platform(s)
  • Understanding of UX best practices
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
