Description

Herschel Supply Co. is looking for a Planner in the L.A. office. This role will provide essential sales planning support to sales managers from pre-sales to execution to post-sales. The Planner must be detail-oriented, analytical, a strong communicator and must have the ability to build relationships with major accounts. This role includes analysis, research, planning, and forecasting to make recommendations on how to grow revenue and maximize sales opportunities for our major accounts. The Planner will work closely with the Key Accounts Sales team and the Director, Sales – USA.

On a day-to-day basis, the Planner will:

  • Provide support to sales/pitch presentations by preparing key data and recommendations 
  • Perform research to understand partner needs, business potential and positioning in the market
  • Analyze and interpret data (sell thru, weeks of supply, margin and replenishment programs) to reduce liabilities and maximize opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with partner accounts
  • Collaborate with Key Accounts Sales team to ensure orders are accurately processed and shipped on time
  • Maintain records and analysis of sales numbers for each major account to help drive revenue and sales growth
  • Support and sell-in product to assigned accounts via phone, email and in person
  • Maintain a high level of HSC product knowledge while understanding the competitor landscape

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a planning or forecasting role
  • Ability to present to large groups (20+)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Advanced understanding of retail math; margin calculation, IMU, profitability, and product turn
  • Ability to foresee deadlines and plan accordingly
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination with internal and external team
  • Previous experience with EDI, SPS Commerce (or like program), Microsoft GP Dynamics or ERP & B2B Sales platforms
  • Attention to detail and a strong ability to problem solve
  • Able to travel as needed
