Overview

The Junior UI Designer's role is to develop outstanding designs, interactions and concepts across Urban Outfitters digital experience. The role will be working across the Urban Outfitters digital experience, ensuring pixel perfect quality and a strong understanding of current digital trends and new technology. The ideal candidate will have designed or created concepts for websites or apps (e-commerce ideal). This position calls for the ability to both self-initiate and collaborate with other designers and teams on current projects and future concepts. The Junior UI Designer will work on a number of exciting projects from conception to execution as well as supporting Designers on existing projects in a fast paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle small projects from concept to completion
  • Support other designers in executing project already in production.
  • Create clear and pixel perfect designs across web and native application projects.
  • Collaborate with designers, UX team, developers and other relevant teams across the business.
  • Redline designs ready for developers.
  • Initiate new interactive concepts across the website and applications.
  • Assist with presentations documents.
  • Keep up to date of trends across native applications, web and social media networks.

Qualifications

  • In-depth proficiency in Adobe InDesign Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator and After Effects).
  • Experience with designing in Bohemian Sketch.
  • Native application and website experience.
  • Understanding of responsive design.
  • Understanding of creating developer ready artwork.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge and understanding of css and html
  • Experience in retail or fashion related industry is a plus
