Summary

The objective of the role is to deliver the support and partnership to the Sales Department in order to help the team meet and exceed all sales goals.  This position is critical to the success of the Department.

The Sales Coordinator /Department Assistant is a hybrid role that is an integral part of the Sales Department and has a wide area of responsibilities.  In summary, the major functions include:

  • Sales coordinator for the #1 volume Key account Rep-Mandie Gates, who manages $8.9M is annual revenues. This includes support for all facets of the Key Account role--from order file management to retailer support to key account rep support.
  • Administrative support for sales leadership team, Jason Shelton and Deanna Jackson: calendar, travel, expenses
  • Sales Department support: Coordination and support for internal cross-functional Departments as well as external sales team.  Duties include coordination for: sales meetings, calendar, tradeshows, pre-line meetings, budgets meetings, samples.

Requirements:

  • Sales Assistant/Administrative experience in a large, fast-paced growing Company 
  • Advance knowledge and proficiently in all Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Highly motivated, self-assured, competent

About Billabong

Billabong was founded in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in 1973 by Gordon Merchant. At first, he designed and created the board shorts at his home and then sold them to local surf shops. Surfers soon realized the durability of Merchant's board shorts that was the result of his triple-stitching technique. Merchant understood that his company needed to expand to achieve success, so Billabong started to sponsor contests—these contests increased the public's awareness of Merchant's products and the company consequently expanded.
