Fashion Trend Manager

The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Fashion Trend manager.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Manage team of  trend analysts and stylist.
  • Research forward color and fashion trends and present to the team. Stay current on market trends by thorough research of market, brands, influencers and youth culture.
  • Collaborate with Buying team on continued development of private label key items and prints.
  • Coordinate all items and outfits for photo shoots to further enhance our brand image in catalog and online, etc.
  • Act as liaison with Visual team to ensure key fashion looks are featured and updated.
  • Coordinate annual fashion show


  • Trend and fashion awareness with ability to understand current trends, competition and market.
  • Must be able to recognize forward trends and help interpret for Tilly’s target customer.
  • Proficient in the use of Illustrator and Photoshop as well as Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required.
  • Must have polished interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills.
  • Meets deadlines with ease and reports status updates effectively.
  • A strong social network presence is required.
  • Must demonstrate an established sense of creativity.
  • Exhibits leadership and decision making skills.
  • Resourceful and able to research problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.


  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar field/position.
  • 2+ years of management experience required.
  • College degree preferred.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in English.
