In this position, the Brand Visual Merchandiser (BVM) will be responsible for supporting the Herschel visual merchandising standards within all retail environments as assigned.  The goal of this position is to ensure that all retail environment containing Herschel Supply branded product is merchandised to the current VM standards. This can be done through in-store visits or using technology as assigned to this role.

 Serving as the primary conduit between retail, marketing, and wholesale partners, the BVM will implement the guidelines and merchandising procedures for the Herschel Supply brand in all locations per direction from various internal stakeholders.  As the direct link between design, marketing, and retail, it is essential that all communication is accurate, complete, timely and professional.

Working closely with the Sr. Brand Visual Manager, the Sales team, the Marketing team and the store teams, the BVM will be responsible for execution and maintenance of the brand standards, including the implementation of merchandising materials, fixtures and custom retail presentations as required. This role will also assist with local activations as required as well as providing showroom assistance when necessary.

On a day-to-day basis, the Brand Visual Merchandiser will:

  • Ensure visual merchandising consistency and brand standards are upheld through strong guidelines, manuals, servicing plan outlines and product knowledge programs
  • Implement all branding collateral including seasonal point of purchase material
  • Create innovative retail environments according to merchandising guidelines and considering limitations and opportunities with each account
  • Support on floor presence through merchandising, point of sale placement, and guideline implementation
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information for all distributions in terms of graphics, rollouts and seasonal merchandising strategies
  • Coordinate visual merchandising plans by key account for all accessories categories.
  • Maintain and repair Herschel Supply fixtures as required
  • Ensure prime placement for all Fixtures and POP items within each retail environment plus ordering where require through the B2B system
  • Implement window displays as per the directives
  • Maintain relationship with Herschel Supply store ambassadors
  • Coordinate and maintain account list, visual calendar within given territories.
  • Ensure proper documentation (written/photo) for all accounts visited on a weekly and monthly basis using the tools as assigned by Herschel
  • Provide field reports to marketing, sales and product departments using the tools as required
  • Assist where possible with inventory levels at assigned accounts and add info to store reporting
  • Develop and maintain annual store frequency visit strategy calendar with the VMM and other internal stakeholders


  • 2-3 years experience in retail, wholesale, fashion and/or accessory Visual merchandising role
  • Visual merchandising experience with apparel is a requirement
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Superior merchandising skills and natural creativity
  • Understanding of wholesale and retail hierarchies and cultures
  • Excellent written communication
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative ability in visual presentation
  • Comfortable with team-based work structure and the ability to work independently
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other visual merchandising, design, sales and miscellaneous programs as assigned by Herschel
  • Strong customer focus, ability to create and maintain relationships with customer base
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a face paced, continuously changing environment
  • An eye for style and interest in fashion and design 
  • Achiever who is results-focused, driven and has a positive attitude   
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities effectively using the tools as required by this role
  • Valid Drivers license is required as is ability to drive a company van
  • Ability to lift 40 lb boxes/fixtures  
  • Ability to travel on a monthly basis as required
